How To Create A Powerful Life With A Winning Mentality

August 7, 2018

"To create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest detail." Giorgio Armani

A winning mindset is different for everyone. Today’s Treasure is how to create your own winning mentality. It all starts with a thought, your mind is powerful, and it’s time for you to realize it. You are powerful, you have it in you, what are you waiting for?

I have been diving really deep into this subject. I’m actually obsessed with how our minds work. I put everything into practice before I even consider writing about it, and one of the things I’m practicing now is how to develop a mindset that makes me unstoppable. And I am going to share it with you. I feel the energy inside of me as I write this, and by the end of this blog, I hope you feel it too. Let’s go…

Let’s take a look at the definition of winning, “gaining, resulting in, or relating to victory in a contest or competition.” what resonates with me with the definition is the word victory. Think regarding victory. Now, let’s take a look at what the definition of mindset is, “the established set of attitudes held by someone.” dictionary.com. So, let’s play, let’s figure out how to have a winning attitude.

Develop Good Habits

What are you doing on a daily basis to help you reach your goal? When you are replacing a habit, it will always feel uncomfortable. Recognize it and develop the strength to push yourself to replace watching senseless television and watch a youtube video that teaches you how to do what you always wanted to learn. Somebody out there is explaining it. Go learn something new that excites you.

Clear And Distinct Vision

There is power in clarity when you know what you want it’s easier to start working towards it. To get clear on your idea, get a piece of paper and a pen and start writing down everything you find interesting. Keep making lists until that one thing pops into your soul, that makes your heart beat faster, it excites you. That’s your new project, go for it.

Trust Your Vision

Once you know what you are starting to work on, trust it. Don’t give up, take deep breaths, it’s going to get a bit difficult because it’s new, however, don’t let that stop you. Get disappointed when someone says no, but keep going. It’s in the resilience that you win. It’s about winning from the inside and forming it into your mindset.

Do The Inner Work

How are you feeling? Always listen to your body, it’s important to know how to meditate to keep yourself centered physically, mentally and spiritually. If thoughts of self-doubt arise, it’s normal, keep moving forward and keep doing the inner work to know where you are at the moment.

Watch Your Language

What are you telling yourself? There is more power in language that you care to believe. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of calling yourself names, “I’m fat, I’m lonely, I’m sad” You need to find a way to stop. Since you are used to it, it’ll be hard at first. The trick is to catch yourself, and slowly start redirecting your language to a better feeling place. Start replacing negative self-talk with positive self-talk. There is power in what you are telling yourself. Watch your mouth!

Take Action

Start generating momentum with small steps. I’m a big fan of the book The Slight Edge, by Jeff Olson. He says to do a little every day, for example, I’m studying now how to develop high performing habits, and I’m reading ten pages a day. Yes ten, and that allows me to keep moving forward, I get to learn and put into practice at my pace. That’s generating momentum with small steps. Remember always to celebrate the small wins but keep on moving. Go and create energy.

Stay Fit

If you are not a Gym Rat or Crossfit isn’t for you, there is hope. Put on your calendar a physical activity for a minimum of thirty minutes a day. I go for thirty minute walks daily, and now in the summer, I swim on the weekends. The critical thing to remember is that staying fit keeps you physically and mentally sharp. Think of the physical activity that inspires you and put it on your calendar, not four times a week, do it daily. Food for thought, you don’t bathe four times a week, do you?

In summary, remember that worry and fear hold you back. Keep striving to get yourself a growth mindset. It’s a plan that will help you feel happy and energized most of the time. Give it a try, let me know your thoughts. Contact me today for a deep, powerful coaching conversation. Have a fantastic day.
